Turner Broadcasting is set to relaunch interactive websites for its Boomerang and Cartoonito channels.

Slated to go live in February 2008, the new www.boomerangtv.co.uk sports a fresh look and has been aged-up to help attract the older-skewing audience drawn in by the recent addition of live-action fare such as My Spy Family and sitcom The Latest Buzz to the channel’s sked. The new site allows users to theme their home page to feature favorite shows and will offer streaming video, competitions, a newsletter, quick votes and information on upcoming and classics series.

For its part, preschool net Cartoonito’s new site is up and running and has brought the net’s six animated mascot characters to life online for the first time. Each character champions a different part of the site and further promotes the learning of French, just as their on-screen interstitials do. Additionally, the site has ramped up its music offerings and now enables users to download MP3 songs, song sheets and watch videos.
