DIC Entertainment’s girls property Horseland has landed a number of Euro merch deals and the brand management company has also found a new Australian licensing agent.
DIC Entertainment’s Horseland should roll out across most Euro retail markets over the course of the year. The company has scored a whack of new licensees, including Lansay (toys), publishing (Carlsen Verlag-Germany, Big Balloon and NSC Europe-Benelux, International Editorial Service-Italy), games (Ravensburger-France, Germany, Benelux) and apparel (Van Der Erve-France, Germany, Benelux). Additionally, a QSR is in the works for summer 2008 in French-speaking Europe; more than one million premiums should reach the hands of the property’s fans.
Horseland, the toon series has been sold into more than 20 EMEA territories and currently airs on France 5, Teletoon (France), Ki.Ka (Germany), ZDF (Germany) and Jetix Holland (Dutch-speaking Benelux),
On the other side of the world, DIC has appointed International Film Group as its licensing and merchandising agent for key properties throughout Australia, including Inspector Gadget, Cake and the parent-targeted Mommy and Me franchise.
