Shaftesbury Films has licensed chapter novel rights to live-action series Life with Derek to Grosset & Dunlap, a division of Penguin Young Readers Group.
The first novel based on the series from the Toronto, Canada-based prodco is expected to roll out at major North American retailers this summer.
Life With Derek is a half-hour comedy originally commissioned by Canada’s Family Channel that currently airs on Disney Channel US and in more than 100 countries worldwide.
