UK-based Galleon Holdings, IP owner, manager and developer, has acquired control of Chinese wireless interactive platform service provider Mengbo.

The acquisition is in line with Galleon’s strategy to become a leading provider of multiplatform entertainment based on interactive TV and mobile phone platforms in China.

Phoenix, the interactive TV service for China and South East Asia acquired by Galleon in October 2007, will now be able to control the distribution of wireless content throughout all of China’s provinces.

Mengbo was founded in 2000 and is one of the fastest-growing service providers in the wireless short-messaging service and multimedia messaging market in China.
