Toronto’s 9 Story Media Group has sold nearly 350 hours of kids content to Asian broadcasters this month.
Thailand’s TV3 alone acquired 130 half hours, including the first seasons of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood (80 x 11 minutes), Peg + Cat (80 x 11 minutes) and Monkey See Monkey Do (26 x 7 minutes), and three seasons of live-action science series Finding Stuff Out (42 x 22 minutes).
In Singapore, Mediacorp bought season one of Peg + Cat and Get Ace (52 x 11 minutes), as well as season four of Wild Kratts (26 x 22 minutes). 9 Story also sold Peg + Cat season one to Taiwan’s PTS and the first season of Wild Kratts to Hong Kong’s TVB. And Korea’s JEI TV picked up the first season of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.
These latest Asian market deals come just weeks after 9 Story announced a new content partnership with media conglomerate Beijing Sunshine Culture and Communication that will see Peg + Cat and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood launch in China.
