Following the U.S. deal forged in mid-February, Cartoon Network Enterprises has inked a deal with Nelvana Enterprises to serve as the licensing agent for anime-inspired property Bakugan across Europe and Africa.

The property, and accompanying TV series, is the result of a collaboration between Nelvana Enterprises, Spin Master, Sega Toys, TMS Entertainment, Japan Vistec and Sega Corporation, and has become a broadcast and consumer product success in both Japan and Canada.

Bakugan is slated to launch on Cartoon Network UK in 2008 and will subsequently roll out across the rest of the EMEA territories.

The series is aimed at boys six to 11, and follows the adventures of Dan and his fellow Battle Brawlers as they use strategy and skill to unleash Bakugan power and save Vestroia and Earth from sure destruction.
