Hong Kong-based multi-category toyco BOTI Global has acquired the global master toy license for classic preschool property Miffy from Amsterdam-based property owner Mercis.

With UK animation studio Blue-Zoo set to deliver a new CGI series—Miffy’s Adventures, Big and Small (52 x seven minutes)—for the 60-year-old property this year, BOTI will launch a range of TV-related plush in October, followed by a full line of figures and playsets in spring 2016.

Previous TV iterations based on illustrator and writer Dick Bruna’s 1955 creation, using bold shapes and bright colors, have aired in more than 70 countries.

In addition, more than 85 million books have been sold in more than 50 languages about the adventures of the charming bunny who lives in a little house with red shutters and likes to discover the world around her with her friends.
