Jetix Europe N.V. has locked in a spot on French satellite platform CANALSATfor Jetix France after several months of negotiations.

The Latest Buzz, produced by Decode Entertainment for Canadian cablenet Family, premiered on March 14 to an average audience of 322,600, racking up 17% more viewers than the previous record holder to become the most-watched series premier in Family Channel's 20-year history. Of these viewers, 66% belong to the eight- to 14-year-old demo.

• The Women in Children's Media panel Creating Successful Media for Teens, taking place in New York City on April 22, will touch on all aspects of teen media, including TV, movies, publishing, online and personal technology, and marketing/research projects. WGBH's PBS KIDS series Design Squad has been honored with a George Foster Peabody Award. Design Squad, the only series for children to receive a 2008 Peabody Award, is about to premiered in April.
