In the Night Garden continues to steamroll its way through the UK licensing scene. According to the latest NPD data four ITNG products from master toy licensee Hasbro are sitting on the UK top-20 bestseller list. So it’s not surprising that licensing rep BBC Worldwide has set out to expand the property’s product reach with the appointment of new licensees.

Golden Bear Products has come onboard to manufacture and distribute a nursery range for the preschool brand across the UK based on the Ragdoll-produced series. Expect to see Igglepiggle teethers, Upsy Daisy buggie toys, and first activity fabric toys at UK retailers in early 2009.

As well, Vivid Imaginations is developing an innovative line of infant arts and crafts products for ITNG under the Crayola Beginnings brand in UK and Eire.

And finally, DanJam Toys has inked a deal to develop traditional wooden role-play and learning toys for a UK retail launch. The initial lineup features Igglepiggle’s boat and stacking Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka and Tombliboo toys. The new toys will hit major retailers in June.
