• Liberation Entertainment has inked a multi-territory DVD deal with Jetix Consumer Products for distribution rights to classic Marvel Entertainment toons. The deal gives Liberation Entertainment exclusive DVD rights for popular Marvel character-based animated series, including Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer and Spider Woman. Liberation will announce the full release schedule for the catalogue in the near future.
• Ex-Mr. Jessica Simpson Nick Lachey will host Disney’s High School Musical: Summer Session [working title]. The open casting calls for the series starts this Sunday, April 27 at Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California, and continue on Wednesday, May 7. The series debuts on ABC on July 20 and runs Sundays and Mondays for three weeks, then continues Mondays at 8:00 p.m. through mid-September.
