Fuhu, the El Segundo, California company behind nabi—the world’s first Android tablet for kids—has hired longtime retail exec Keith Neva as VP of sales in an effort to ramp up retail growth.
His primary responsibilities include overseeing the company’s sales strategy and expansion of Fuhu’s product line into new channels.
Neva brings more than 20 years of experience managing major sales accounts in the consumer electronics industry to his new role. Previously, he was VP of sales at Griffin International Companies and co-owner of Impact Marketing. He also has experience working with blue-chip brands like Yamaha, Westinghouse and Monster.
Neva joins Fuhu at a time of unprecedented grow for the tablet-maker. Founded in 2008, sales of its nabi branded products and services having grown by roughly 160,000% over the past three years. Those impressive numbers spurred Inc. Magazine to name Fuhu the fastest growing private company in the US for two years in a row, and it shows no sign of slowing down.
Fuhu plans to expand its product offerings this year with several new additions to its nabi tablet line, as well as enhancements and new products to its nabi Big Tab HD 20-inch and 24-inch line. Additionally, Fuhu is getting into the Internet of Things and expects to debut a range of digital accessories later this year.
