m4e bringing Winx Club flick to Germany this fall

Munich, Germany-based m4e has acquired distribution rights to the big-screen CGI adaptation of TV toon Winx Club.

Winx Club – The Secret of the Lost Kingdom from the Italian prodco Rainbow is an adventure-heavy film revolving around the fairy characters from the successful TV series. The film is slated to bow in German cinemas on September 4.

The deal marks the first time m4e has launched a motion picture and will be supported by Munich-based film agency 24 Bilder.

The 95-minute film was produced by Rainbow founder Iginio Straffi and ties into the plot of the second season of the TV series.
