Disney inks Taiwan VOD deal

Disney-ABC International Television (Asia-Pacific) has hooked up with Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom to offer its movies and hit TV series on Chunghwa's IPTV VOD service.

Disney-ABC International Television (Asia-Pacific) has hooked up with Taiwan’s Chunghwa Telecom to offer its movies and hit TV series on Chunghwa’s IPTV VOD service.

The deal encompasses all current and library feature films from Walt Disney Pictures, Disney/Pixar, Touchstone Pictures and Miramax Films, including Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Rataouille, Cars, National Treasure and Meet the Robinsons.

Chunghwa’s VOD subscriber base is expected to reach 500,000 next month.
