Fuhu’s Android kids tablets are headed to Uber vehicles, thanks to a new partnership between the device maker and the on-demand car-sharing service.
Through the new partnership, uberFAMILY cars in the Washington D.C. area will be equipped with nabi tablets. UberFAMILY is Uber’s family-friendly offering which provides vehicles equipped with car seats.
Parents using the service will no longer have to pass back their smartphones during car rides. Instead, the nabi tablets will supply a blend of games, TV shows, apps, eBooks and educational offerings. Content comes from Fuhu’s nabi Pass content subscription service, which the tablet maker unveiled late last year.
The new tech partnership is Fuhu’s latest move to diversify its presence. Most recently, the company introduced a high-tech action camera for kids and a new line of TV-sized nabi Big Tabs, designed for today’s increasingly digital families.
