Iceland’s LazyTown has hit its stride Down Under with new consumer products deals.

Both Australian licensing agent Wild Pumpkin and New Zealand counterpart Global have signed Roadshow Entertainment to rep home video and music, while Five Mile Press is taking publishing rights.

To promote the series in both territories, the mind behind LazyTown, Magnus Scheving, will be visiting key Australian cities. In Melbourne, Scheving will host a public LazyTown Fun Day, and in Sydney and he will kick off a national preschool and kindergarten health and outdoor activity campaign being handled through the LazyTown magazine media partner, Yarra Media.

Following two years of pay-TV broadcast in Australia and New Zealand, the preschool series LazyTown now also airs on terrestrial nets ABC Australia and TV 3 in New Zealand.
