Upper Deck Entertainment has appointed Playmates Toys as the master toy licensee for Huntik: Secrets and Seekers.

Playmates is prepping the action-oriented line for a fall 2009 launch. The initial round of products will include three, six- and nine-inch figures, showcasing the adventure’s heroes, villains and mystical creatures called Titans, along with vehicles and roleplay toys. The six-inch figures will also sport a patented technology that enables online interactivity.

Earlier this week, UDE announced that 4Kids Entertainment has signed on to broadcast the series during its TheCW4Kids block Saturday mornings on The CW Network in early 2009. UDE and Italy’s Rainbow co-created the property, while UDE is overseeing all marketing, promotional and licensing initiatives in the North America, the UK, Japan, China and Korea.
