Portable VOD comes to pass in the UK

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Sky’s Go!View, the official PlayStation Portable video-on-demand service in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, has gone live.

Starting today, the service offers TV, movies and sports and will be regularly updated for PSP users and makes portable video-on-demand viewing a reality for PSP users. Distributors and broadcasters, including Disney-ABC-ESPN Television, BBC Worldwide, Sony Pictures Television International, NBC Universal International Television Distribution, National Geographic and Sky Sports, have licensed their content, including selections from their kids libraries, to the service.

Subscription packs are priced at US$9.95 for one pack, US$17 for two packs and US$21 for all three packs, and users can try out all three for a month for free.
