FitzRoy Media has signed Heathcliff cartoonist Peter Gallagher to a development deal that will include animated feature films, direct-to-DVD releases and other entertainment projects centering around the famous cat.
The deal comes on the heels of the 35th anniversary of the famous feline.
Peter Gallagher took over writing and drawing the Heathcliff comic strip in 1998 after apprenticing with his uncles, George Gately and John Gallagher, for more than six years.
