People moves: Nickelodeon Kids and Family Games Group adds execs

The fledging Nickelodeon Kids and Family Games Group has named David Bergantino, VP of premium games production, Shaan Kandawalla, VP of retail and licensed games and Peter Banks, VP of engineering.

The fledging Nickelodeon Kids and Family Games Group has named David Bergantino, VP of premium games production, Shaan Kandawalla, VP of retail and licensed games and Peter Banks, VP of engineering.

Bergantino will oversee the production and creative of all licensed and self-published premium games across Nickelodeon Kids and Family Games Group’s many platforms. He will also be responsible for building the publishing business for AddictingGames and Shockwave, as well as Nick’s self-publishing business. He has been an independent producer, designer and writer for clients including Sony Computer Entertainment and Gizmo Games.

Acting as a liaison between the games team and related consumer products group, Kanadwalla will also be responsible for console and retail game partnership development. Previously, she served as the director of digital games.

Banks, meanwhile, will lead the technical strategy and product planning for the Games Group. In his new role, he will oversee all site development, the e-commerce, community and social networking platforms to support the Group’s online product initiatives. Banks has had more than six years of experience at Shockwave.
