Jakks Pacific has got a jump on National Cupcake Week with a special Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker event at Toys ‘R’ Us Times Square today.

iVillage.com chief toy officer Elizabeth Werner will be hosting the event where kids will be asked to decorate their own cupcakes with the Jakks baking toy.

Jakks has high hopes that its Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker line will be a hit among girls eight years old and up for the Christmas season.
