Art gets stealthy in a new factual entertainment show from Dot to Dot Productions, commissioned by UK pubcaster CBBC. Art Ninja follows real-life animator Ricky Martin around his hometown of Bristol, England, as he teaches kids to make “art everywhere,” from pencil shavings to cookie crumbs.

The 10 x half-hour art-focused sitcom series, expected to air this fall, allows Martin to chat with kids via Skype, who challenge him to make art from regular household items. The art of heavyweights like Picasso, Banksy and Turner will also make cameos in the unlikeliest of forms, such as a cereal packet or cocktail sausage.

Art Ninja is executive produced by Jo Killingley for Dot to Dot and Hugh Lawton for CBBC, while Nick Hutchings is series producer.
