Former NBC Universal exec Brian Robillard has been named to the newly created role of VP of content business operations for Cartoon Network Studios.

Former NBC Universal exec Brian Robillard has been named to the newly created role of VP of content business operations for Cartoon Network Studios.

Robillard is charged with creating strategy, business plans and operating process for emerging multi-platform projects, and he will serve as a key operations executive helping to drive Cartoon Network Studios multi-platform efforts. He will be based in Burbank, California, and report directly to Rob Sorcher, chief content officer for Cartoon Network.

At NBCU, Robillard served as director of product strategy and development, content distribution. In this position, he acted as product manager for NBCU’s TV Everywhere initiative, leading MVPD fulfillment with a large multi-business team focused on content/programming strategies, product development, ad and content operations, and broadcast engineering.

Prior to this, Robillard worked at the Disney ABC Television Group as senior manager, product strategy, kids networks.
