New York-based indie mobile developer Lima Sky, the company behind the Doodle  Jump app, is collaborating with Crayola on a product placement campaign and a mobile crossover game that marries Doodle Jump with the crayon company’s design and play principles.

The licensing and digital development relationship will include the production of a Crayola mobile platform game and a line of Crayola-branded Doodle Jump-themed art kits and accessories that will be sold at retail.

The partnership falls in line with Crayola’s strategy to extend creativity beyond the paper to mobile devices. For one, the company is currently in a multi-year agreement with Mattel that has launched Crayola-branded product lines for kids based on Mattel’s Barbie and Hot Wheels properties as well as a Crayola iPad app.
