MTV Networks International has announced a slew of post-MIP terrestrial broadcast deals across several major European markets, including Italy, Spain and the UK.

In a five-year deal, live-action shows iCarly and Drake & Josh will launch this year in Italy on Mediaset’s Italia Uno. Following the success of the first two seasons of Drake & Josh, seasons three and four will air in Spain on Antena 3’s DTT platform, NEOX, and will be available for broadcast until December 2012.

Spain’s public broadcaster, TVE, will see seasons one to three of SpongeBob SquarePants and seasons one and two of preschool series Dora the Explorer airing on various TVE channels for the first time later this year.

In the meantime, Back to the Barnyard and Tak and the Power of Juju, along with preschool show, The Wonder Pets!, will premiere on the UK’s independent channel, ITV, via its national breakfast block, GMTV. And adding to the partnership between MTVNI and GMTV, SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! will also be broadcast on the morning slot.
