The world premier of US-based The Hub Network Original Family Movie, Stan Lee’s Mighty 7, has been set for Saturday, February 1 at 8 pm EST.

The animated movie, the first part of a trilogy from Stan Lee Comics, features the voice talents of Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings trilogy), Jim Belushi (The Defenders) and Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory) among others. The film marks the first time Stan Lee will take a leading role in one of his creations.

The film is produced by Stan Lee Comics, a joint-venture between Genius Brands International, Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment and Archie Comics. The Hub will host the worldwide premiere of all three movies.

In the 90-minute movie, Lee stars as an animated version of himself, a legendary superhero creator, who teaches a crew of alien prisoners and their jailers how to work together and use their powers to be superheroes.

Paris-based PGS Entertainment is handling the international distribution of the trilogy, and the companion series outside of the US is also being handled by PGS Entertainment.
