Alphanim (Paris, France, 33-1-5864-5550): The Paris-based studio has shuffled up its commercial operations to link TV and home video distribution more closely to marketing and licensing. Under this new structure, all rights are now managed by an integrated marketing and distribution team headed up by VP of L&M Cédric Petitpas, who is shouldering an extra function as director of international sales. Petitpas will manage TV and home entertainment sales in the US, the UK, Spain, Germany and Latin America himself, relying on Céline Carenco, who also steps up as a director of international sales, to tackle Canada, Ireland and Italy. Ex-DIC Entertainment Europe exec Marie Landowski also joins as marketing manager.

Chorion (New York, New York, 212-973-4700): Trading in Mickey for Mr. Men, Paula Rosenthal has left Playhouse Disney to join Chorion as SVP of creative. With more than 20 years of experience in TV, web development, production, programming and planning, Rosenthal is well-suited to manage Chorion’s production slate and originate new content.

E1 Entertainment (Toronto, Canada, 416-646-2400): Oasis sales superstar Prentiss Fraser (nee Holman) has moved up into a VP and head of sales role for E1’s Television International division. She’ll oversee international sales and distribution strategy, as well as directly selling into the US, the UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Australia and Eastern Europe. Ben Bishop, meanwhile, has been promoted from sales and acquisition executive to sales executive and acquisitions manager. In addition to scouting the market for exciting new content to plump up E1’s portfolio, Bishop will add Turkey, the Middle East, Greece, Israel, Cyprus and in-flight entertainment to his sales turf, which already encompassed Asia, Africa, Canada and India.

MTV Networks (New York, NY, 212-846-8000): Even Nick is doing more with less these days. Having laid off veteran distribution exec Debbie Back late last year as part of a Viacom-wide restructuring, the broadcast conglomerate has filled the gap by adding new responsibilities to Steve Grieder‘s role. The EVP of Nickelodeon for MTVNI is now also heading up international programming sales, overseeing a sales team operating in offices in London, Miami, New York, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.

PorchLight Entertainment (Los Angeles, California, 310-477-8400): The busy L.A. studio has upped Shea Fontana from manager to VP of children’s programming, and she’s now responsible for development, production and acquisition across all genres of kids content. Fontana joined PorchLight in 2006 as an assisant, but quickly segued into a role in the production process. She has worked primarily on the company’s animated slate, which includes The Secret Saturdays (Cartoon Network), Animalia (PBS and BBC) and Tutenstein (Discovery Kids).

Razor & Tie Entertainment/Kidz Bop (New York, New York, 212-473-9173): Alyson Shapero is poised to bring her 20-plus years of music industry experience to bear on Razor & Tie’s popular kids cover tunes business as SVP of sales and marketing. Shapero was most recently an SVP of marketing and advertising at Warner Music Group, where she honed her skills in conceptualizing brands, products, multi-channel promos and retail programs by developing strategies to drive sales through category expansion, partnerships and promotions. Former Classic Media brand manager John Fraser has come in under Shapero as VP of sales and marketing position, and will focus on developing a strategy to expand the Kidz Bop brand in sectors such as audio products, online, live events, strategic partnerships, branded content and licensing.

Scholastic (New York, New York, 212-343-6100): The prominent kids publisher has tapped Debra Lande to lead its Klutz kids activity and book product division as publisher. Lande joined Scholastic from Chronicle Books, where she served as director of product innovation and headed up the gift division as associate publisher. In her new role, she’ll lead the creative and editorial direction of the Klutz publishing list, as well as managing the strategic development of the brand.

Spin Master (Toronto, Canada, 416-364-6002): After an exhaustive search for a development/production exec who could help executive producer Matt Wexler get its entertainment division’s slate off the ground, the toyco has ended up hiring a second executive producer. With a decade of kids TV experience at Decode and Cookie Jar,Jennifer Picherack is well known in Canada. She most recently held down a VP of distribution and sales operations position at Cookie Jar, where she also racked up a producer credit on Johnny Test. And in a progressive streak of creative roles at Decode, she worked on Chop Socky Chooks, Naturally Sadie and Radio Free Roscoe. At Spin Master, Picherack and Wexler will work together on TV and feature film development, production and acquisitions.

Studio100 (Munich, Germany, 49-89-960-8550): Peter Kleinschmidt has left his MD job at licensing agency CTM Concept – TV & Merchandising CTM to join Studio100 as director of marketing and licensing & merchandising. The move is a homecoming of sorts for Kleinschmidt, who cut his teeth on the EM-Entertainment catalogue as an account manager. He’ll be handling those old familiar properties again, as well as new IPs feeding in from acqusitions and original content development.
