Entering its 10th year, Latin American TV market Forum Brasil is putting out a call for entrants to pitch their kids show at the event taking place June 3 to 5 in Sao Paulo, Brazil and compete for a US$20,000 development grant from Cartoon Network.
Companies registering for Forum Brasil can submit their live-action, animated, fiction and non-fiction kids projects until May 18. Selected projects will be pitched to and evaluated by a jury of Brazilian and international broadcast execs, who’ll ask questions and provide guidance to producers and give advice on making their projects more commercially viable in the international market. The winner will walk away with US$20,000 from Cartoon Network to further develop the concept.
Forum Brasil is also including the final PICs (International Training Program) animation pitching this year, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and ABPI-TV (Brazilian Association of Independent Television Production Companies), and will be inviting acquisition and co-production executives of the main open- and pay-TV channels around the world to participate in seminars and ’30 Minutos’ sessions and during the market.
