In light of Wildbrain’s Charlie Rivkin being named by President Obama to serve as the US Ambassador to France, he’ll be stepping down from his post as president and CEO and stepping into the new role of CEO will be Michael Polis. Rivkin’s new diplomatic appointment comes after his major involvement this past year helping oversee fund-raising efforts for the Obama campaign in California.
Polis is primed to fill the position, having served as Wildbrain’s chief marketing officer since 2007, in which he led and supervised its global licensing and marketing efforts. Polis will report directly to Wildbrain’s board of directors and will continue to expand and develop opps for its properties. Kidrobot CEO Diego Marchioni will retain his position, also reporting directly to the board.
