Hugely influential dance-music artist deadmau5 is teaming with the iconic Space Invaders property on a brand-new lifestyle brand, thanks to a deal initiated by DHX Media with Live Nation Merchandise and Square Enix/TAITO Corporation.

The lifestyle brand is expected to launch in winter 2013 at high-end and specialty retailers, spanning multiple categories, including children’s products.

Live Nation Merchandise, which represents deadmau5, will rep the North American L&M rights for the hybrid brand with support from DHX, the agent for TAITO’s Space Invaders in North America.

deadmau5, who has a green Space Invader tattooed on his neck and is best recognized by his mouse logo and oversized ear-sporting masks, is Canada’s Joel Zimmerman. The Grammy-nominated and JUNO-award winning musician and producer has become a major touring act, amassing more than 7.6 million Facebook friends and 2.3 million Twitter followers in his quick rise to fame.
