Canada-based Nerd Corps Entertainment’s Slugterra has extended its UK reach by bowing on Channel 5 last Saturday.
The series made its UK debut on Disney XD in March and continues to be aired daily by the channel, as well. Thirty nine 22 minute episodes have been produced to date, with more in production.
Master Toy partner Jakks Pacific will launch a line of blasters, dart packs and collectible slug figures launched at Smyth’s, Toys”R”Us and The Entertainer, along with additions to the toy line for holiday this year. Smyth’s are also on-air sponsors for the series on Disney XD.
Slugterra follows the journey of teen Eli Shane and his best friends, the Shane Gang.
