SG Companies boosts sleepwear business with Wormser buy

New Jersey-based SG Companies, which currently holds licensing rights to Lego, LegoLegends of Chima, Buddy Boo and WWE, is growing its licensee capabilities with the acquisition of Wormser sleepwear division from SaraMax.

New Jersey-based SG Companies, which currently holds licensing rights to Lego, LegoLegends of Chima, Buddy Boo and WWE, is growing its licensee capabilities with the acquisition of Wormser sleepwear division from SaraMax.

The Wormser Company, founded in 1948, creates sleepwear based on Warner Bros., Universal Pictures, Marvel and Sony brands. The company sold to SaraMax in 2006.

The purchase is intended to build SGI Apparel Group’s sleepwear division with expansion into new channels of distribution. As a result of the acquisition, SGI Apparel Group has doubled its sales and design staff.
