Jim McGowan is joining the exec ranks at Cookie Jar Entertainment, where he’s been brought on as SVP of digital content and distribution.
He’ll be based in Burbank, California, expanding the prodco’s digital media department. McGowan comes from running his own entertainment and media consulting company for the last three years, with clients such as Entertainment Rights, Twentieth Century Fox and Starz Media. He also did a stint at toyco Mattel as director of entertainment business development, spent eight years running the animation division at Pioneer Entertainment and also did a stint at Paramount Pictures Licensing Group.
