Mondo TV France has granted the worldwide rights to new 3-D nature and discovery animation series Lulu Zipadoo (52 x 13 minutes) to France Télévisions Distribution.
FTD will now handle international sales, management of ancillary rights and video sales (excluding France, Belgium, Luxemburg and Switzerland) for the property. The co-pro with Mondo TV France, Araneo, France Télévisions and Tiji targets at kids four to seven and is slated to air on France 5 in fall 2010.
Adapted from the book series by Daniel Picouly and Frederic Pillot published by Magnard Jeunesse in France, the story follows the titlular tortoise and her friends as they learn to live together and explore their environment. Sales have already been secured in Italy, Portugal, Belgium and Finland, with more deals in the offing for Spain, Germany, Korea, Sweden and Israel.
