In just two weeks since its release, Imangi Studio‘s Temple Run 2 has become the fastest-growing mobile game of all time with more than 50 million downloads worldwide on iOS, Android and Kindle devices.
The record was previously held by Rovio’s Angry Birds Space in April 2012, but it took 35 days to reach the 50 million download mark.
The rapid success of Temple Run 2 bodes well for the continuing growth of the franchise that has expanded into other product categories such as digital comics, board games, and apparel thanks to several licensing partnerships inked by brand extension agency Dimensional Branding Group.
