Tween girls will be happy to hear that Disney Channel has snapped up the second season of comedy series Jonas from Live Nation, featuring the Jonas Brothers.

New executive producers on board for the season two include Lester Lewis (The Office, The Larry Sanders Show) and Paul Hoen (director and co-producer of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, The Cheetah Girls One World). It’s slated to begin production in Hollywood this coming February for a mid-2010 debut on Disney Channel, DisneyChannel.com, mobile and VOD platforms.

The boy band has also started production on the second season of short-form reality series Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream for an early 2010 premiere, which will be followed by the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam that summer.

Meanwhile, the House of Mouse’s vidgame arm Disney Interactive Studios released its Jonas title for the Nintendo DS at US retail today and also announced that another game based on Disney Channel series Sonny with a Chance is currently in development.

Inspired by the show-within-a-show called So Random, the Sonny title developed by Altron will feature more than 40 mini-games – two exclusively for the DSi – and will be available in spring 2010. It will also coincide with the season premiere of the series.
