Penguin UK, the publishing house behind such global properties as Peter Rabbit, The Snowman and Topsy, has tapped Susan Bolsover to serve in the newly created position of head of licensing and consumer products.

The creation of Bolsover’s role comes as Penguin Children’s looks to build up its licensing and consumer products initiatives. Beginning on February 4, Bolsover will exploit Penguin’s owned and agented IP, particularly as it looks to extend its brands into TV and new areas of consumer products.

Bolsover’s licensing and brand management experience includes previous roles at Copyright Promotions Licensing Group, DeAgostini UK and BBC Worldwide.
