New York-based Knockout Licensing has been appointed by indie UK book publisher Andersen Press to expand the North American licensing program for David McKee’s bestselling Elmer The Patchwork Elephant kids book series.
Written and illustrated by British-born McKee, Elmer has been featured in more than 40 children’s books, and since 1989 nearly 5 million copies of the books have been sold in 50 languages around the world.
The books focus on the acceptance of being different as Elmer stands out from other elephants with his brightly-colored patchwork hide.
