Sunbird scoops book license to Iron Man 2

London-based pubco Sunbird, part of Penguin Children's Books, has acquired the UK children's book rights to Iron Man 2.

London-based pubco Sunbird, part of Penguin Children’s Books, has acquired the UK children’s book rights to Iron Man 2.

The company plans to will launch books in tandem with the sequel’s theatrical release in April 2010. The two titles include a 2-in-1 novel of the movie and an official movie storybook. The double-sided paperback novel features both the storylines of first hit movie as well as Iron Man 2, while the storybook is a glossier publication containing CGI imagery complete with a pull-out poster.

In this next chapter of the Marvel Studio’s Iron Man saga the armored avenger must face his biggest challenge yet – living up to the responsibility. Under pressure from the government, the press and the public to share his technology with the world, Tony Stark makes the decision to hold onto the secrets behind the Iron Man armor so they don’t slip into the wrong hands.
