UK-based kids and family entertainment distributor Cake has appointed Gráinne McNamara as its new VP of development and sales.
On the development/future programming side, McNamara will work closely with Cake’s creative director and CEO, Tom Van Waveren, while for sales, she will be responsible for all German-speaking territories, as well as Italy and Ireland.
She most recently headed up international development for Irish prodco Telegael, overseeing live-action and animation projects and helping secure deals with broadcasters including CBBC, CiTV and ZDF Germany.
With more than 12 years of TV industry experience working as a development executive, script editor and producer, she also completed the North by Northwest script editor program in 2004.
