UK-based kidcaster CBBC has commissioned two brand-new factual entertainment shows for kids ages six to 12 – informative comedy series Officially Amazing and 10 x 15-minute series How To Be Awesome At Everything.

Officially Amazing, from the creative team behind the hit series Horrible Histories, blends live-action, animation and song as its globe-trotting presenters investigate the world of records discovering how and why people and animals can achieve impossible feats. Each episode will also feature a Guinness World Records attempt.

Lion Scotland’s Joff Powell, Richard Bradley and Simon Welton are executive producing with Dougie Napier as series producer and Kez Magrie as executive producer for CBBC.

How To Be Awesome At Everything is a CBBC Productions in-house developed and produced series featuring short and fun how-to segments like how to juggle, outswim a great white shark, or survive in outer space.

Plans to edit each episode down to two to three-minute interstitial shorts are also in place.

The series was created by Bill Hobbins and Rob Jenkinson (12 Again) is series producer.
