A new Maryland, US-based online personalized play and learning world called Curiosityville for kids ages three to eight and their parents has launched and partnered with National Geographic Kids.

The site, which enables parents to monitor their child’s learning progress in real time in an interactive program called the Learning Tree, features animated characters that encourage kids to explore, think creatively and problem-solve in areas such as reading, math, science, social studies and other core skills.

Additional features include offline play reminders, contests, rewards, prizes, scrapbooks and the site helps kids determine their interests so they can join online and offline learning clubs focusing on subjects like art, reading, nature, science, cooking and community service.

Along with adding National Geographic Kids resources to the site and providing content to National Geographic Little Kids offerings, Curiosityville has also joined forces with The Goddard School for Early Childhood Development and The Association of Children’s Museums.

Curiosityville was designed in consultation with parents, children and an interdisciplinary team of childhood development experts.
