Spider-Man casts retail web across Target, Toys R Us

In time for the July 3 theatre release of The Amazing Spider-Man, movie-themed merchandise will be rolling out across the US at Target and Toy R Us stores and online.

In time for the July 3 theatre release of The Amazing Spider-Man, movie-themed merchandise will be rolling out across the US at Target and Toy R Us stores and online.

Target has partnered with Marvel Entertainment for a variety of The Amazing Spider-Man-Themed toys, clothing, bedding, party decoration and DVDs. Products range from US$3.99 to US$5.99. Highlights include a Spider-Man vs. Doctor Octopus book, the Spider-Man 3 Blu-Ray Combo Pack, the Amazing Spider-Man Hero Mask and an exclusive Spider-Man pajama set. The product launch will be supported by interactive floor graphis and Spider-Man displays as well as a Target TV commercial.

Products will also be available online through a special web boutique at target.com/spiderman.

Toys R Us is also launching a broad selection of toys, games, role play accessories, décor, kiddie furniture, bikes, consumer electronics, T-shirts and bedding in themed in-store Spider-Man-themed boutiques. Exclusive include a sling & soak water shooter and Spider Strike vehicle & figures, both from Hasbro. Online shoppers can also purchase from a matching boutique featured online at toyrus.com/spiderman.

The toy launch will also include a special display at the Toys R Us flagship store in Times Square in New York, including movie props, Spider-Man’s mask and web-shooter, as well as Peter Parker’s skateboard and backpack.
