Toronto-based Shaftesbury’s sales arm has sold in-house-produced TV movie Vacation with Derek to Nickelodeon Australia.
The movie follows the McDonald-Venturi family from the TV series, as the kids are forced to spend part of their summer vacation with their grandmother at her lodge. So You Think You Can Dance Canada season one winner Nico Archambault guest stars as Jesse, a waiter and aspiring dancer at the lodge where the blended family takes their vacation.
Commissioned by The Family Channel in Canada, the TV-movie is distributed internationally by Shaftesbury Sales Company. Life with Derek: The Complete Third Season, distributed by E1 Entertainment, has rolled out on DVD to retail outlets across Canada.
