London, UK-based FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has acquired the licensing rights to Korean graphic character Mashimaro from Clko Entertainment.
FME plans to bring the Mashimaro brand, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, to the UK, German, French and Benelux markets.
While Mashimaro licenses in Korea range from plush and home décor to jewelry, Fremantle intends to target the preschool market in Europe with the brand. It’s currently on the hunt for toy, games, gifts, apparel, homewares, food, plush, cosmetics and digital licensees for Mashimaro.
Mashimaro joins FME’s portfolio of non-television brands, including Japanese graphic property Rebecca Bonbon.
