Aardman secures presales for new Wallace and Gromit series

Bristol, UK’s Aardman Rights has a secured number of pre-sales for its new family series Wallace & Gromit present A World of Invention (6 x 30 minutes).

The show, starring the Oscar-winning duo, has been acquired by DR Denmark, YLE Finland, Thai PBS and ABC Australia.

Aardman is presenting the series, commissioned by BBC One with broadcast scheduled for late 2010, to international buyers at MIPTV next week. The show takes an international approach to inventions and focuses on real-life gadgets and machines that have inspired Wallace’s career as an inventor. Live-action footage is scheduled to be shot in Germany, Brazil, The Netherlands, China, Tasmania, Nigeria and various locations across the US. Additionally, the series will be accompanied by a website and online campaign.
