Rainbow secures pre-MIP PopPixie sales

Italian animation company Rainbow has secured a number of deals for its latest series PopPixie in advance of MIPTV next week.

Italian animation company Rainbow has secured a number of deals for its latest series PopPixie in advance of MIPTV next week.

Teletoon (France), TVI and Canal Panda (Portugal) and Alter TV (Greece) join current broadcasters RAI (Italy), France Télévisions, KTV (South Africa) and Noga (Israel).

A new episode of PopPixie will screen at MIPTV and then Cartoons on the Bay.

The show (52 x 13 minutes) is set against the backdrop of Pixieville, a fantastical place that weaves magic, adventure and humor together.

In addition to TV sales, Rainbow has secured a number of licensing deals for the brand. Bandai has been named the master toy licensee for Europe, Leomil will handle footwear in the territory and apparel in Iberia and Scandinavia. Carel is covering the French apparel market and high-end Italian fashion company Mirtillo is looking after Italy.
