Madrid, Spain-based Zinkia has announced that its animated preschool series Pocoyo will air on Nick Jr. US this spring. The deal was brokered in Cannes along with the show’s co-producer ITV Studios Global Entertainment. Pocoyo will make its English-language premiere this Spring on Nick Jr. US.
Bandai America, who has the master-toy licensing agreement in the USA and Canada, will be launching a new line of consumer products inspired by the CGI series later this year. Television rights to the series are distributed internationally by ITV Studios, while Zinkia handles distribution for Spain, Portugal, Italy and Latin America. The series follows the adventures of three-year-old Pocoyo and uses music and dance to engage its young audience.
