US toyco K’Nex has inked a licensing deal with legendary rock band KISS to create building toys for kids ages five and up based on the world famous band (and brand).

The deal,  brokered by KISS’ exclusive global licensing agent Live Nation Merchandise, will see KISS buildable figure packs become available exclusively at Target retail stores,  target.com and knex.com this fall.

The buildable figures for band characters The Demon, Starchild, Spaceman and The Cat feature the band’s iconic black-and-white makeup, trademark hairstyles and costumes. Sets include all four band members, their instruments, and the package doubles as a stage.

The move follows on the heels of K’Nex signing a deal in February this year with Finland’s Rovio Entertainment to produce an Angry Birds line of building toys, also expected to hit retail this fall.
