London-based distributor Cake Entertainment has sold Angelo Rules (78 x seven minutes) to German broadcaster Super RTL.
As distributor of the series, co-produced by Paris-based animation studio TeamTO, Cake has also already secured a global sale to Cartoon Network in all territories, excluding the US, Italy, France and Japan.
Aimed at six- to 11-year-olds, Angelo Rules is about 12-year-old Angelo, who tries to control his life using elaborate comic strategies based on his observations of human behavior.
The series recently launched on France 3 and received a Pulcinella Award at this year’s Cartoons on the Bay Festival for Best TV series for Kids.
