In a joint venture deal, UK-based children’s home entertainment distributor Abbey Home Media has snagged exclusive UK DVD rights to Hoho Entertainment’s latest preschool CG-animated series Cloudbabies with the first title set for release this fall.
The Bridget Appleby-created series, which features four childlike characters, Baba Pink, Baba Blue, Baba Yellow and Baba Green, is currently being animated by Manchester-based Studio Liddell and is set to air on CBeebies later this year.
The latest deal comes on the heels of Hoho partnering with Hallmark Cards UK and Tigerprint and further expands the brand which will also move into other consumer products with Vivid on board as master toy partner and books will come from master publishing partner Penguin Children’s Books.
